I started use Ubuntu a few years ago. I don’t remember exactly – I think my first distro was 8.04 Hardy Heron. First I used Ubuntu side by side Windows, but one day I decided to use Ubuntu as a standard operating system in my laptop. BTW! My laptop is ASUS R556LJ-XO164D.
Dell Vostro 1710, I write about it because this laptop can make many problems when you use Ubuntu.
I am NOT a rabid fanatic Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution! Ubuntu seems more friendly and ergonomic than Windows. It’s my private opinion.
I DON’T want to talk with somebody that Linux is better from Windows or Ubuntu is better from Fedora. I don’t know – maybe yes…
Now a few words about me. My name is Chris and I live in Poland. I was born in 1980 and from the 80’s I had computers. I started fun with BASIC on Commodore C64. After C64 I bought Amiga (model CDTV – anyone remember this?). In the 90’s I bought my first PC and started adventure with Windows 3.11 and later Windows 95. Now I use Ubuntu
12.04 14.04 16.04 LTS.
